Regina’s Bone Marrow Transplant

Donation protected
My sister, Regina, was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia when her oldest son was 7 months old. Aplastic Anemia is an autoimmune disorder that attack’s the bone marrow, resulting in the body’s inability to produce blood.  At that time, a treatment was done and was effective for 10 years, but has since fallen out of remission.  Right before Thanksgiving, Regina’s Aplastic Anemia came back.  After doctor recommendations, she will have a bone marrow transplant once a match is found.  Until that time, she is receiving regular blood transfusions.
Regina is a hair stylist and self-employed.  At this time, she is unable to work at all, and will have a slow recovery once the transplant takes place (we are hoping and praying that happens by early spring).
With growing medical bills, the next six months to a year will be so difficult for the Palmer family.  Her husband, Adam, will also be taking FMLA, leaving them with no income at all.
Regina has some of the best clients, friends, and church/school family out there, and our family is so grateful to you all for the love and support. No amount is too small.
Please also consider donating blood to your local blood bank and joining the national bone marrow registry at bethematch.org to help her and others in these situations.
Please keep the prayers coming! So much Love - Brianna Georgeson
