Help Refurbish Petrcane School

Finding the money to repair and maintain your school buildings is a major headache for school leaders. The building in question has received little or no funding since Croatia's fight for independence in 1991.

Sadly without funding the only school building in Petrcane, Zadar region, Croatia is unfit for purpose and, for the sake of the children living in this town, we must improve and repair the current building.

There is currently no classroom/play space for pre-school children in Petrcane and there is an urgent need to knock down unsafe and/or dilapidated parts of the building and design a suitable space, whilst also ensuring the school is fit-for-purpose and safe for staff, pupils and anyone who will benefit from it's use.

Once the space is refurbished we envisage the whole community can benefit, the room can be used for meetings, celebrations and other group events out of school hours.

There are two outside play areas, both are unfit for purpose. We would like to make the front space a play ground for pre-school children and the back space a basket ball/football area for the older children.




We require funding for:
Knocking down four dilapidated walls
Reflooring, rewiring, new ceilings, painting & decorating
Redendering outside
New kitchen and changing area for babies
Miniture toilets for children
Toilet for adults
Knocking down and levelling outdoor spaces at the front and back
Soft Play equipment
Children's furniture/Black boards/TV
Outdoor flooring for young children + children's playground equipment
Outdoor flooring for a basket ball area + equipment

We will use any money raised to change the current environment as much as possible.
