#RefugeesWelcome in the Bay Area

Thank you for stopping by my LinkedIn Gives campaign! I'm grateful to work for a company that supports me in giving back to causes I care deeply about.
Prior to my entry to the tech world, I spent nearly seven years working for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and would love you to join me in making #refugeeswelcome in the US.
The International Rescue Committee provides opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants to thrive in America.
The global refugee crisis is at an all time high. Each year, a few thousand of these people, forced to flee violence and persecution, are welcomed by the people of the United States into the safety and freedom of America. These individuals have survived against incredible odds.
The IRC works with government bodies, civil society actors, and local volunteers to help them translate their past experiences into assets that are valuable to their new communities.
My life and community has been vastly enriched by every person I've been lucky enough to meet through the IRC.
Now more than ever we must show everyone coming to the US seeking safety and refuge that we support them and welcome them.
Please join me in welcoming refugees to the Bay Area by making a contribution to the IRC.
