Food Expenses-National ACDA

We are needing people to help sponsor a Reed Academy student by contributing $15(or more, of course) to help with one day of their food expenses at the 2017 National American Choral Directors Association Conference.
The Reed Academy Singers have been accepted to the National ACDA conference! This is an amazing accomplishment for this school and its community! The conference features some of the greatest choirs in the world. This is considered by many one of the highest honors a middle school choir can receive. RAS were one of 3 middle school choirs in the nation selected to perform at the conference. The other two being a performing arts school from West Palm Beach, Florida, and a a gifted and talented magnet school from North Carolina.
Reed has over 300 students involved in its vocal music program, and this is in a school of a little over 600 students. The school
has a 80.47 % free and reduced lunch rate. The program features 9 different choir classes. This particular choir has 43 members.
Our school district, Springfield Public Schools, is very generously providing for our travel and lodging expenses. In addition, they are also giving the choir $35 per day, per student, for food expenses.
However, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in a major city, and without eating fast food for every meal, these students will need some assistance. It would be very helpful to see their daily food budget go up to at least $50 a day per student. Adding $15 per day(we are gone for 4 days) to every students food budget, for 43 students, comes out to $2580. With the addition of other trip expenses, it will come out to around $3580.
Please consider assisting these students with their food expenses for this truly unique and unforgettable experience.
