Reece's Brain Surgery Fund

My Grandson, Reece has been so healthy for the full 8 years of his precious life until awful news on Friday March 10, 2017 when he went to his pediatrician because he seemed a "little off" - dragging his leg, numbness in his left leg and arm and the inability to curl his toes.  The doctor sent him to the emergency room with the assumption of a stroke after doing some initial testing.  Once at the emergency room an MRI was performed and showed a mass on the right side of his brain the size of a grapefruit - the doctors there said that a mass this size has been there for quite some time and maybe since birth, however because of the size now - he is showing symptoms.  All of our family were in shock and waited to get additional testing including an additional MRI that would advise if the growth was obstructing major arteries or vessels within the brain.  The results thank God were that it was not however surgery needed to occur as quickly as possible - Reece did have this surgery on Sunday March 12 and the doctor was able to remove the tumour and the built up fluid on his brain.  There will be a long recovery for my Grandson - however with young parents and his Father, my son not leaving his side and the inability of FMLA from work they will need any support that they can get as they face rehabilitation both inpatient and outpatient to ensure that Reece will be strong and healthy again.  I wish that I could provide during this time myself but am looking for any support that you may be able to provide for my son and his family of 2 other little girls and wife Hilary on a teachers salary as they try to make ends meet until Reece is strong enough to go back to school and their daily routine is such that my son is able to go back to work.  Please know that even $5.00 will help these kids and if you can donate anything it will mean so much!  Thank you for reading this and for any help that you can provide.
