Recovery from a bank scam

I responded to an ad that was in the Jewish Light Newspaper that was sent to me by a friend. 

To make a long story short I was scammed out of $3900. I cashed 2 checks that eventually bounced on my account.

Bank Of America wants me to return to them the funds although I never received the funds because the checks were sent to me with the intent of stealing these funds from a trusting person like me.

I was under the assumption that I was going to be working for this woman and she sent me 2 checks that she had me deposit into my account and then transfer $3500 into her financial advisor's account.

A few days later I realized I was scammed when my debit card was getting declined. I went to the ATM and looked at the receipt and my account was overdrawn. It is impossible for me to pay this back, I am already working 3 jobs as it is to make ends meet. I am taking care of a disabled sister was has limited income.

These funds will be used to protect me from garnishment of my wages to pay Bank Of America back and me allow to recover from this unfortunate experience with fraud.
