Recovery for Jessica Hollis

To my family and friends
I'm reaching out to you because I've started a GoFundMe page for my niece Jessica Hollis and her mom Pam Hollis. Jessica is 34 and has 2 sons.

Jessica has been sick for about 3 1/2 years but kept getting worse. On August 22nd she was admitted to Brookwood Hospital. Doctors has found out that Jessica is having problems with her blood getting to thick which is causing her blood to clot. They do not know the reason why.

Jessica has 7 Blood Clots: 1 in her Aorta, 1 in her Liver, 1 in her Kidney, 1 in her Spleen, and 3 in her stomach. She has 3 cyst on her ovaries and 3 on her Kidneys.

Last year she had a blockage in her aorta so they put a stent in but when she was admitted they found out the stent was blocked.Thursday August 23rd they tryed to unblock the stent but was unsuccessful.

By Friday morning August 24th Jessica white blood count had jumped so high they had to do surgery. Doctors told Pam " Got to do it Now". The surgery took about 5 hrs. They did a Exploratory Bypass, just to get blood flow to her organs. They repair her Hernia but found out part of her colon was in her hernia. They fixed a blockage to her bowls, part of her bowls were turning dark due to lack of blood flow. Doctors had to cut her stomach all the wsy down then across both sides.
For the past week she on bed rest to heal. Her lungs filled up with fluid and has been running fever at night. She is a very sick girl.

Her mom, Pam Hollis (my sister) has been staying with Jessica at the hospital all this time. Pam lives in South Carolina. She has not been able to work and is not sure how long Jessica will be in hospital. Staying at the hospital is very costly and you dont get any rest. Pam was sleeping in the waiting room for over a week until she could stay in room with Jessica. Pam is not sure how she will be able to stay due to no income or hoping she will still have a job.

Even after Jessica gets out she not be able to work. She will have more doctors visits and medications to buy and will need to keep reliable transportation back and forth to doctors. I know both of them are stressed out on what to do next.

If you could support my GoFundMe by making a donation and sharing it with your network. I would greatly appreciate it. I know that money is tight, so please know that even $5  helps me get close to my goal in helping them. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer them. Thank you for your support.
