Recovering from accident on 3/22/18

Donation protected
On Thursday, March 22nd, my daughter, myself, and my boyfriend were in an accident. We flipped multiple times and ended up upside down on 123 in Seneca. Early that morning, my boyfriend got a call from a job he had been pursuing. He got the job! It was an awesome opportunity for us. He was going to be making double what he was making at his current job. He was going to have insurance. It was what we needed and he was so eager to start this new chapter. Later that day, we picked my daughter up from school and started on our way to Spartanburg to pick up his final check. He was scheduled to start training for the new job that following Monday.

Back to the accident...... I was, for the most part, uninjured. I climbed out the window and immediately looked into the back of the van to check on my baby....and him. Trinity, my daughter, was fine. Thank God! Lukas, on the other hand, was hurt and had to wait on EMS to arrive to extract him from the vehicle. After 6 hours spent in the hallway at the emergency room, we learned he had broken 2 ribs on his left side and his left clavicle.... Minor injuries considering the accident we endured, but life halting for sure.

He was seen 6 days later at Blue Ridge Orthopedics and was given an excuse for work. We left straight from there and headed towards Anderson to give it to his new employer. Everything seemed okay. He talked with them the next day and the job offer was withdrawn. Its amazing how quickly your life can change. We had such an awesome opportunity.. everything was going great... and 15 seconds took it all away. He doesn't have health insurance and the auto insurance isnt going to pay for his medical bills until he is released from the doctor. The visits to Blue Ridge are expensive. Gas to get there from Walhalla is expensive. His everyday bills are piling up. We planned to struggle and ride it out until the insurance company settled, but at his last appointment on the 16th, we got more bad news. The bone is more displaced now than it was on March 22nd. The xrays showed no signs of healing. He goes back on May 8th to determine if he is going to need surgery. As stated before, a broken clavicle is a minor injury, but going to work...and now seeking work.. is impossible until it is healed. He needs help paying for his doctors visits, his bills, and everyday expenses until he can return to work. I am helping him as much as I can, but its definitely been rough. We need help. We went in to that office on the 16th expecting good news, and got the opposite. If surgery is needed, it will be months before he can settle with the insurance company. Depression has started to set in for him and I wanted to create this fundraiser to hopefully help him get by. I'm setting a goal because it is required, but we aren't trying to get "rich".... just trying to get by until this hell storm is over with. If you can donate, THANK YOU! If you can't, and you have read this far, still... THANK YOU. Share our story if you feel compelled to. Pray for us. We would greatly appreciate it and we love all of you!
