REBUILDING TOGETHER HOWARD COUNTY
Tax deductible
For the last decade, Oakland Mills Middle School staff have worked with Rebuilding Together Howard County to renovate homes belonging to elderly, handicapped or financially strapped Maryland neighbors.
We have completed 12 projects so far and hope to do a 13th as part of the Big Build the last week of April 2019. Each year we've struggled to raise funds by auctioning student art, accepting private donations, and soliciting from corporate sponsors .
Your funds will supply building materials such as flooring, windows, lumber and paint to make homes "Safe , warm, dry and healthy."
Our clients have included a widowed leukemia patient undergoing chemotherapy who received carport repairs, new windows and new floors that helped her stay warm in the house her husband had built.
We've helped an elderly Navy veteran couple who needed repairs, appliances and railings in their home so they could "age in place".
Our community outreach work has been recognized by the Howard County Public School System !
