Rebuilding Surviving Families in Katuwapitiya SL

Donation protected
Today, Sri Lanka is a mourning nation after the surprise terrorist attack on innocent civilians, which brought more than 200 dead and close to 600 missing.

St. Sebastian Church at Katuwapitiya, Negombo, Sri Lanka was one of the three churches succumbed to terrorist attacks during the Easter Sunday service on April 21, 2019.  Hundreds of innocent worshippers were dead and survivors were left with missing family members; some parents without children and some children without parents.

There are many videos and photos on this brutal and inhuman act on social media, which we do not wish to relink or share here.

Your generous contribution to this fundraiser will help rebuild the lives of surviving families in Katuwapitiya village. Fr. Ravin Sandasiri Perera will appropriately manage the fund to help families based on their needs.

Your contribution will go long ways in helping the victims, including bringing closure of hundreds of funerals, contributing to food, water, medicine and many other day-to-day needs at this hour of their need.

Regardless of your ethnicity, nationality and religion, we hope that you see this opportunity to extend your kindness, humanity  and generosity to families who did not share violence, hate or vengeance towards another human being. The unfortunate, untimely ill-fate befell on them while they were seeking peace in harmony.

With kindness,
