Rebuilding & empowering Borno state

Donation protected
The people of Borno is bearing the brunt of the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East of Nigeria. Up to 2 million people have been displaced from their homes as a result of the insurgency, most live in IDPs camps, not a place to call home for anyone with all the difficulties, discomfort and insecurity involved. Women, children, elderly people and men are out there, compelled to exchange their once sweet homes for the safety of refugee camps in their own land for no fault of theirs.

The Borno people are long-suffering people in need of all the help and support they can get from us all. The Boko Haram insurgency started 2009 and people are still suffering from the effect up till today. According to OCHA, an estimated 300,000 children in Borno state alone will suffer from severe acute malnutrition over the next 12 months. Farmers can not go back to farm three years in a row, adding food insecurity to physical insecurity for the people of Borno. Women, girls and children are at the risk of being abused, abducted and trafficked, their places of abode does not guarantee complete safety. Coupled with inadequate health care and facilities, the spread of diseases within the IDPs camps is just a matter of time with already a substantial number living with HIV/AIDS. Please join this campaign to help raise awareness of the plight of the Borno people and the need to help and support them to recover from this devastation and rebuild their lives and community.

This is a call-out to all Humanity,to everyone across the world  to help support the Borno people to recover from the devastation caused by the Boko Haram insurgency, help them rebuild their lives and community so they can live in safety and security, peace and prosperity once again.

Borno, a state in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria has an inhabitant size of about Four million residents with a vibrant youth population that has the zeal to revamp the state from the hostility it has received due to insurgence. A state rich in Agricultural prowess, fishery and poultry production has been badly beaten by the recent ills of negativity emanating from the environment.

The Government in a bid to accelerate change has championed a cause in partnership with the largest entrepreneurship network in the world, Africa's Young entrepreneurs  to give the state a lift by empowering the indigenes; this is being propagated by a social campaign with the hashtag #EmpowerBorno. The campaign is driven through 3 ways to create an enlightenment translating to reinventing and rebuilding the walls of the state. The Empower Borno platform enjoins you to collaborate with him on this thought provoking journey to bring economic development into Borno state of Nigeria through entrepreneurial intervention to combat poverty and unemployment.

We request your collaboration in any of this 3 ways:

1. Create Awareness:Share #empowerborno on all your social media platforms and tag @empowerborno

We look forward to your victorious chant that Borno State will be great again contributing favorably to the society. We extend a warm handshake trusting that you will be moved to #EmpowerBorno through any of the platforms stated above. Most importantly, keep praying for Borno State and for Nigeria because we can only win the war with Love.

Please help donate no matter how small to rebuild the city , build schools , hospitals and homes destroyed by the boko haram insurgency. The loss in the state in the last 7 years since the insurgents attack began cannot be quantified though statistics records that 20,000 claimed lives, 3.3 million persons displaced with 80 percent of the Internally Displaced Persons found in Borno, literacy level at 15 percent and $6 billion dollars material loss has occurred thus far.
