The Story
As some of you may know early Saturday morning, March 11th, the detached garage building of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church burned down and is a total loss. The Braham fire department worked tirelessly and were able to contain the fire to just the garage, and by the grace of God the Church was saved. The Minnesota Fire Marshal arrived and is currently investigating the cause and damages, what can be understood as the fire appeared to have started in the garbage cans in front of the building. The fire spread to the building and roof, engulfing it completely.

As you know it is the Lenten season, and the famous Fish Fries are the largest community fund raiser the Knights of Columbus participate in. The money raised from the Lenten fish fries goes back to the community 100%. Some of the proceeds go to the Mora Crisis Pregnancy center, Knights of Columbus Scholarship fund, Church necessities, CCD, and the local food banks.

This GoFundMe page will be used for rebuilding of the garage, purchasing material needed for the Church, and providing for the Community organizations which have ultimately taken a loss because of this horrific accident.

No donation is too small, please consider giving as you are able.  If you have special skills in the rebuilding process, they too would be greatly appreciated (more information to follow).

Thanks to generous donations of time, effort, and supplies in one week the Knights and parish members came together and rebuilt and yesterday they received the fryers back at the church after several of the knights cleaned and rebuilt the fryers. Although there are still more improvements and rebuild to finish the structure itself it back up!

Please spread the word that we will be having our normal Lenten Fish Fry with Beer Batter Fried Fish and baked fish along with all the fixings. We look forward to serving you and thank you for your continued support.

Update March 17th
A lot has happened in less than a week. Thanks to Parish members after this fire that we had early last Saturday morning. The fire marshal was out on Saturday and has ruled it as undetermined starting in the garbage cans outside the garage we met with the insurance adjuster on Monday and by Monday night the Sts Peter and Paul Parish members we're hard at work going through trying to find what items we're in the garage when the fire took place. Yesterday they demolished the garage and the new building materials arrived.

Other parish members we're in the process of preparing the the Fryers. If everything goes right Saints Peter and Paul Knights of Columbus and Parrish members will be back up and running once again serving well know fish fry. Please come out this Friday, March 17th, and support the Knights of Columbus and perish members as we put on a Lenten meal with several items being served and it's all for a free-will offering !!
We thank you for the support that you've given us through this difficult time. Knights of Columbus and perish members will be honoring Braham fire department and Braham police tonight for their hard work in Saturday's adventure.

Please continue to donate what you can as the building process continues.
