Rebecca Flachs Cancer Fund

This campaign is to raise money for our sweet friend Rebecca.  She is a mother of two, a daughter, sister, and a true survivor. Less than one year ago Rebecca was diagnosed with IBC, which is a rare breast cancer effecting less than 2% of all breast cancers.  She actively pursued the treatment days after the diagnosis and was able to kill the tumor with Chemo.  She is now starting the 2nd part of her journey.  The reconstruction and the radiation are very expensive; insurance only helps covers some of the costs.   We ask any of of you to help by sharing or donating if possible.  Below is a poem Rebecca received following her last Chemo treatment.  I thought it was perfect to add to the story.  



"I started a journey, I did not plan.
A journey that would test, everything that I am.
I am now, halfway through,
Thanks to the support of all of you.
Chemo treatments and losing my hair,
Are only some of the things I had to 'Bare'
I am resting now and taking a break,
Spending my summer at the lake.
Surgery in June, and another to go,
My journey is long, and the process is slow.
My head is held high and I am keeping the faith,
And every three weeks, I am getting my 'H' ( Herceptin)
Radiation is a must, and recovery time too,
I could not do this, without all of you.
I am thanking you all, and sending my LOVE"
