Reauveau Brother's Cremation Fund

Donation protected

Robert “Tattoo Bobby” Reauveau and his brother Joseph “Joey” Reauveau both died within 2 months of each other.  Joey died in December of 2016 and Bobby died in February 2017.  Joey died from complications of advanced COPD and Bobby was the victim of a homicide.  Losing both my children so closely together has put a huge financial strain on me and I have to ask the community, friends, and family if they would be so kind as to make a donation, no matter how small, to help make these final arrangements for my sons.

Bobby was born in 1973 and Joey in 1975, they were my only children… Bobby was an incredible and very talented stonemason and carpenter until his younger brother, Joey, brought him into the world of tattooing.  Together the boys moved to California where Bobby apprenticed and learned his craft under Joey.  Joey was already a well-respected tattoo artist trained under Freddy Davila at Motor City Tattoo in Detroit.  From there, both worked across the United States, including bike week in Sturgis, South Dakota and often appearing as guest artists at special events and well-respected shops.  One thing that set them apart from other artists is how quickly they were both able to draw up a sketch and perform the tattoo.   They were able to get into a “zone” as they called it and their speed was phenomenal without compromising the quality of their work, much to their client’s relief, both physically and with the finished ink.  Their talent speaks for its self and they have literally left their mark on so many in our community.

Both will be remembered as fun-loving free spirits who lived life with passion and sometimes reckless abandon. Both my sons often told me what a great childhood and life they lived, they had more friends, travels and adventures than I could keep track of… they passionately loved life, they laughed often and always stood out in a crowd.  Their friends remember Joey’s impish smile that instantly melted your heart, his love of motorcycles and his unwavering loyalty and devotion to his friends and the many artists he mentored.  Bobby will be remembered for his flamboyant character marked by his outrageous clothing and his C’ville Famous Ink brand followed by his infectious Holllerrrrr! Bobby was known for his sensitive nature and was likewise, a devoted and loyal friend.  They would give you the shirt off their backs and stood by their friends no matter the situation.

Any amount you can contribute will be extremely helpful and sincerely appreciated.  The money will go toward their cremation costs, transporting the body/ashes, the necessary death certificates, their urns  and small scattering urns for family and friends, obituaries, distribution of their belongings and other related expenses.  A memorial was held April 1st for the boys at Monticello Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville, Va.  Joey leaves behind a 12 year old daughter.

I am grateful beyond words for the sympathetic and continued outpouring from their friends, family and the communities they lived in, to include the outstanding support from the local police, in particular, Detective  Will Coles and Commonwealth Attorneys, Joe Platania and Nina-Alice Antony, for their successful conviction of Bob's murderer.  I am at your mercy for help and relief as I struggle to mourn the loss of my children.  Thank you in advance and may peace and togetherness be with you and yours.
