Hi Everyone,
So, as many of you know (since I have been blowing up your social media with pictures)...I have recently returned from a visit to Laos. During my time there, I was very privileged to have the opportunity to meet Keo, a local man from Ban Houaxyay who has made it his mission to bring books to the children in his province. Keo has done this for the simple reason that he wants the children in his local village to have the opportunity to be able to read a book. This is a privilege that many people in the Western world take for granted, but that children in Laos do not have as there simply are not books available. His goal is to gather enough funds and support to provide a book mobile so that kids in rural villages have the opportunity to see and read a book.
This year, I have signed up to run the Chicago 1/2 marathon on behalf of Reading Elephant in September, and I would like to raise funds on behalf of Keo’s book mobile and the sweet children of Laos. As a reading teacher, I believe that all kids- regardless of where they are born- should have the opportunity to access books. If you are able to make a small donation towards this cause, I would be very grateful. Any little bit will help!
I have attached a link to the website where you can donate through pay pal if you desire to do so.
Thank you for your support,
Sara Dunn
