RDU Black Panther Movie Program

Donation protected

The RDU Black Professionals is an organization created by a group of black millennials with the desire to connect and grow with other black professional in the Raleigh-Durham area. From its start in May 2017, the RDU Black Professionals group has grown to over 1000 members of professionals, creatives and entrepreneurs in the area that not only host networking and social events but do service and outreach for the community as well.

The RDU BP Events committee has come together to host an enlightening outreach event for Black History Month in combination with the Marvel Film Black Panther. Our focus for this program is to allow students ages 10 to 13 from all backgrounds the chance to be immersed in this piece of forgotten history while enjoying a screening of the new Black Panther film. It is our goal that thirty to fifty students from the RDU area will attend this event to be held at Regal Brier Creek Stadium 14 in Raleigh, NC on Saturday, February 17. We will be renting out a private theatre for the screening and providing breakfast in accordance with the Black Panther’s Free Breakfast for Children Program. Most importantly, we will be providing the opportunity to not only entertain but educate the youth group of two images of the Black Panther as a superhero, with a screening of the superhero movie Black Panther and an engaging lesson of the Black Panther Party the superheroes of the late 1960’s.

While our committee is driven with passion and support for this event, we cannot make the lasting impact that we envision for this event alone. Monetary donations of any amount will be greatly appreciated.

If you and/or your organization would like to also donate goods or serives towards our event  please feel free to contact us.

Items needed are arts supplies, hospitality supplies, prizes for giveaways, and funding for theatre booking and catering.

Your support in assisting us with this outreach program is greatly appreciated and will help us make an influence on the community with an enthusiasm for culture youth outreach.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
