Hope For Leon

Leon has Mikrokephaly and agenisis of the corpus collosum. He needs a scoliosis correction. He is at 89 degrees. Dangers are displacement of organs and paraplegia he therefore needs an op that costs R250 000 to correct his spine. Unfortunately the medical aid does not have a code for his rare condition and hence will not cover the cost. We are also busy with rare diseases SA however this is an operation that needs to be done as soon as possible due to the severity of his condition. He is a happy little boy, always helping everyone. He always has a smile on his face. He is such a beautiful soul, and I know I am a bit biased :). He truly never acts out, becomes difficult etc due to his challenges. He just wants to play and listen to music with his earphones. He is now 13, but functions at about 5 or 6. He cant speak yet and started walking at 6 and potty trained by 8. He is a bundle of energy and we need to do everything possible to ensure that he will not become a paraplegic.
