Cambodia Medical Corps

Please donate anything you can. Nothing is too little and every cent will be appreciated, not only by me but the people in Cambodia.

I have spent thousands of hours and endless brain cells, on learning what it means to be a healer. I have given my blood, sweat, and tears to my medical education, and am deeply humbled to have been and to continue on the rigorous journey.

In honor of this important chapter, I am leaving on a 16 day trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia as a volunteer EMT with the HOPE Medical Corps this August.

I am humbly asking for help to serve the people in Cambodia. I myself will be working directly with the Fire Department and the hospital ambulance focusing specifically on trauma response and offering the utmost of my knowledge and ability to the staff and all those in need. I will also be assisting the doctors, surgeons, and nurses on my team in their work.

The objective of this trip is to provide free primary health care ( medical, optical, surgical and dental) to the rural poor of Cambodia. Our team will be working with the Baray-Santuk Referral Hospital in KomPong Thom Province and will be seeing about 100-150 patients a day. These patients can’t afford medical help on their own and we will be providing all the care we can give with such limited resources.

I put the Go Fund Me at $2000 in order to have extra money to buy supplies. The ambulance at the hospital only has a few oxygen tanks, an aspirator a ventilator and some basic medications. They have asked me to bring a heart monitor, a trauma kit, cervical collars and splints (Ideally a complete emergency kit to donate to the hospital).

I know this is a personal journey, but I am grateful to have such a tremendous support system who has encouraged me to find myself.  There is absolutely NO pressure to donate, but know that any offering is deeply, graciously, humbly, and truly appreciated.

With this chapter of my life only beginning, I am excited to be stepping out into the world with a skill set to offer.

I am ready to be of service, and make the world a nicer place. I promise to make my moments count, and never take my life granted. I will step into my work with unwavering love, compassion, integrity, commitment, and humility. I will receive each patient as my own mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, and child.

I will embrace each human being with the utmost love, respect, and care.

Thanks for taking the time out to read this, I LOVE YOU!

Always,
Peace, love, and gratitude,

Diana
