Raudel Needs A Wheelchair For Christmas!

When Raudel was born, he was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy which affects all his body. This makes it extremely difficult and painful to move. At 10 years old, his cerebral palsy confines him to a wheelchair, but that has never stopped Raudel from being a happy child. He loves to watch soccer games even though he’d rather run around and play as well. Raudel lives with his mother and father in a very small town in Mexico. Raudel's father works in the fields and they spend most of their time outdoors. Raudel loves following his dad around but unfortunately, his wheelchair makes it nearly impossible for him to go very far because his manual wheelchair is difficult to move in the uneven terrain and usually has watch from the truck.
Raudel also enjoys learning in school, but he can only go to school twice a week when the special education teacher is there. Throughout his life, Raudel’s family has made many sacrifices to provide for their son.
For this GoFundMe page, we are raising money to buy an Eagle HD Bariatric Portable Wheelchair. We want this model because it is battery powered and would make it easier for Raudel to travel through the grassy and rocky terrain in Tonilco, Zacatecas. We would love to get this wheelchair for Raudel because it only weighs 50 pounds and this would make it easier to carry around. With this wheelchair, Raudel would be able to move and play in the grass and dirt with every other kid.
The wheelchair would also make it easier to travel to Guadalajara for his monthly physical therapy sessions. These trips are very hard and time-consuming for Raudel and his family because it takes 3 hours to get to the city.
The electric wheelchair would make Raudel's live so much easier and would give him the freedom that he has never had before. It would truly be a blessing from God.

Cuando nació Raudel, se le diagnosticó parálisis cerebral cuadripléjica espástica que afecta a todo su cuerpo. Esto hace que sea extremadamente difícil y doloroso moverse. A los 10 años, su parálisis cerebral lo limita a una silla de ruedas, pero eso nunca ha impedido que Raudel sea un niño feliz. Le encanta ver partidos de fútbol, aunque también prefiere correr y jugar. Raudel vive con su madre y su padre en un pueblo muy pequeño en México. El padre de Raudel trabaja en los campos y pasan la mayor parte del tiempo al aire libre. A Raudel le encanta seguir a su padre, pero desafortunadamente, su silla de ruedas hace que sea casi imposible ir muy lejos porque su silla de ruedas manual es difícil de mover en un terreno irregular y, por lo general, vigila desde el camión.

Queremos este modelo porque funciona con baterías y facilitaría a Raudel viajar por el terreno cubierto de hierba y rocas en Tonilco, Zacatecas. Nos encantaría conseguir esta silla de ruedas para Raudel porque solo pesa 50 libras y esto facilitaría su transporte.
