Support for Randall Young's Family

Donation protected
On May 2, 2016, Randall Young, a high school freshman, was shot and killed. The death of this bright student, who was often a beacon of community and inclusion at our school, has devastated his classmates, teachers, and friends at Perspectives High School of Technology in Chicago.

Randall's classmates have already mobilized to sell pins and baked goods to raise funds so that his mother can afford a funeral for her son, but unfortunately they will not be able to raise enough to fully fund it. This page will allow teachers, friends, and others to contribute funds to support Randall's family in their time of grief; financial support to fund the costs of a funeral (casket, flowers, visitation, etc.) at a time like this can lessen the burden of a family dealing with an unexpected death.

We would like to raise the money within the next week or two so that the funeral does not have to be delayed for too long. As a school community, we would be so grateful to have the opportunity to properly honor Randall, and easing the pain of his family would be the best contribution imaginable.

Thank you so much for your support!
