As many of you know, my father Ramgiri is faced with an incredible challenge right now: he is dissolving pancreatic cancer through love—his own powerful love connection to Neem Karoli Baba and the divine within, and the love pouring out to him from you—his friends, students, and gurubai.
He knows, as we all do, that this is one of the more difficult cancers to beat, but if anyone can do it, he can. Decades ago in India he was miraculously healed of a supposedly incurable cancer. Now he can be one of those who survive this particular dreaded disease.
This cancer was discovered accidentally, and thus early enough to be surgically removed (along with most of his pancreas, some of his stomach, his gall bladder, and many lymph nodes). The surgery lasted eleven hours, more than twice as long as the surgeon expected, and recovery is taking time. He will be meeting with an oncologist shortly to determine which other treatments may be considered.
But we all know that Western medicine doesn’t hold all the answers. There are many alternative treatments that can support his body’s healing, but of course insurance doesn’t cover them. And beyond that, there are the prayers and spiritual energy sent his way from all of you, which have an immeasurable impact. My father, his wonderful wife Durga, and all of us have felt the grace of Neem Karoli Baba’s love and the love of the satsang throughout it all.
But as he regains his strength and he and Durga try to figure out the best route forward, they still need to pay bills while also affording the treatment options not covered by insurance. There is a sense of urgency to know what treatment options are available, and we cannot explore those options fully without financial support from our community. We thank you all deeply for any gift that you may give to support my father’s healing.
We constantly feel the kindness, prayers, and generosity of heart of so many who have been touched by my father—his life, his retreats and teachings, and his legacy of HeartSourcing®. My family is full of gratitude for the blessings and the lessons that are coming through during this difficult time.
My dad is very strong in his faith, and his presence is full of light and love. He feels he has so much more to give to his students.
