Rally For Ryan

Donation protected
On May 17th Ryan was in a terrible motorcycle accident. According to several witnesses, he was entering a highway ramp and as the roadway turned, his bike simply did not and he collided with the guardrail. The police have said their investigation showed there was no fault and no speeding involved: It appears his back tire hit a patch of sand/gravel as he entered the turn. This accident has resulted in devastating injuries: He has a fractured rib, 4-fractured vertebra in his back and 1 in his neck. These fractures should heal with no long-term affect to his mobility. His broken left scapula was repaired with a plate/screws. His more devastating injuries include a very severe laceration to his backside and tragically - the loss of his right arm at his shoulder. If not for the nurse at the accident scene, we realize we would not have Ryan with us today, as she immediately began treating him and placed a tourniquet on his arm. So far, he has had 3 surgeries, with at least 1 more before his discharge. The months/years of rehabilitation and recovery seem so daunting but we realize that as a family we have received so much love and support that we are not alone in this. Ryan is a father to 2 beautiful girls-Maddie and Leeah, a fiancé to Monica, an uncle to my girls Autumn and Hailey, brother to me and our step-sisters Bayleigh and Maura, grandson to Alice and Charlie Roper and a son to my dad Craig Foss and his wife Kristen. The private texts and messages we have all received have been so overwhelming and appreciated! My friends have been wonderful! My INCREDIBLE Lularoe family has been a lifesaver for me - they are truly amazing! I was at a conference when I got this devastating news, their support carried me, and they all are so willing to help during this tough time!! Dad and his wife Kristen have such a large network of friends and extended family, as well as co-workers that have said they want to help in any way! Monica has also received such loving support from her family and friends; not to mention her employer who has been incredible! And Ryan’s daughters’ maternal family has offered help in any way possible!

Aside from the sheer magnitude of his injuries and mounting medical costs – the loss of Ryan’s arm also means the loss of his trade and way to earn an income. We realize that rehabilitation will help him to learn new skills, but the next couple of years are going to be a challenge.

We humbly ask for any support you are able to give…any amount would be appreciated beyond measure! All monies will go directly toward supporting Ryan through his recovery.
