I need your help to save my life! In the past two months I have been hospitalized with complications of ovarian cancer disease progression, my doctors tell me I need treatment IMMEDIATELY to save my life!!!
In 2006, at the age of 23, I was diagnosed with a rare type of ovarian cancer. Treatment at that time was surgery. Fast forward to 2013, when a recurrence of metastatic low grade serous ovarian carcinoma stopped me in my tracks. This is an extremely rare type of cancer, with no current treatment options in the US for this type and stage for me. In fact, one of my oncologist told me that I was going to die young and sent me home with a prescription for antidepressants. Needless to say, I fired that doctor! No such thing! I am going to live a long life!!! In 2014, I was also diagnosed with metastatic thyroid papillary carcinoma. What a shock to be diagnosed with two cancers at such a young age. In early 2016, I sought treatment outside of the United States for both diseases. The treatment was success for the metastatic thyroid cancer and she has been in remission from that particular cancer since then.
Since 2013, and since no treatment options are available in the US for my ovarian recurrence, I have sought out expert doctors to help guide and direct my treatment. I have doctors that I see regularly in Oregon, Seattle, Colorado, California, New York and Mexico. For a couple years, I had regression of the ovarian carcinoma. In the past year, especially the last 6 months, the disease has become unstable and is progressing. I have been hospitalized twice for removal of abdominal ascites (cancerous fluid in the abdominal region and let me tell you it so very painful). I flew down to California to see Dr. Nagourney of the Nagourney Cancer Institute https://www.nagourneycancerinstitute.com/ for ex-vivo testing on my actual tumor/cancer cells taken from her body. The test results came back in mid March. Which lead my team of doctors to recommend immediate treatment with Dr. Munoz in Mexico. Dr. Munoz concurs with Dr. Nagourney and is ready and willing to start treatment on myself for 3 ½ months upon arrival in Mexico.
Once the funds are secured, I can start treatment immediately. I have been experiencing the effects of this disease in the last several months and has had major issues with ascites and has had to have two hospital stays for drainage. However, all my medical team has agreed that the best treatment option is for me to go to Mexico and do the recommended treatment that Dr. Nagourney from California at Nagourney Cancer Institute recommended.
