I am doing this campaign on behalf of my nephew Dean Ryan Murray.
Dean has been diagnosed with Metastasized Bone Cancer.
In 2008 Dean fought a battle with Esophageal Cancer. He went through radiation / chemotherapy treatment and had major reconstruction of the esophageal area.
In Febuary 2017, Dean had a broken bone in the spinal area and from this surgery the bone cancer was discovered.
Dean was born with Spastic Cerebral Palsy. Every day of his 47 years of life has been a battle, a battle he has fought with the upmost dignity. Dean has a courage and selflessness that is an inspiration to us all.
His smile and personality truely warms everyones heart who meets him. If you are having a bad day, go see Dean: look at that smile and listen to some whitty statement he will make and you realize your day really is not all that bad.
We are a small family and each of us will do whatever we can for Dean, but it is going to be a hard battle, physically, mentally and financially. Trips to the hospital, doctors, hiring helping hands and trying to give Dean the things he needs / wants to make him comfortable.
Dean has requested to do some traveling to see extended family / friends outside the state of Maine that he has not seen in years. We want to try and make these trips happen if it is phyically possible for him.
Any help financially that anyone can provide, no matter how small , would truely be appreciated. It would help alleviate some of the financial stress on my sister, LaVerne, while she helps her son take on this battle for life.
