Rally for Antoine Sandoval

Donation protected
Many of you know Antoine Sandoval from his amazing art that’s plastered all over the Flathead Reservation. He’s done children’s books, calendars, logos, and many other works for people all over the country and world. But he is much more than just a talented artist. He’s a father, he’s funny, charming, witty, kind, damn smart, and loves film and martial arts. It doesn’t take much time with Antoine to become enamored with his easy going personality and talent to recite movie lines.

So, it should come as no surprise that family, friends, and community members rallied around such a special person when we heard about his horrific car accident on November 16, 2018.

Antoine suffered life threatening injuries that morning when he had a head-on collision with a semi-truck. He is truly lucky to be with us all today. He had a head wound that required 67 staples; brain bleeding; fractured his left elbow; sustained glass cuts on his left arm with major bruising; broke his left leg (above and below his knee and sustained a compound fracture); fractured his right ankle; fractured his pelvis; fractured his right wrist; tore his aorta; split his liver; damaged  his kidneys and lungs; and fractured four ribs.

Antoine works hard for his income by knocking out one art project at a time. He takes pride in his work and would never ask others for financial help. As you can imagine, Antoine has a long path to recovery. He’s moving around in a wheel chair now, but his recovery will take years. His family has incurred substantial costs in assisting Antoine through surgeries and hospital stays in Seattle.

We all love Antoine so much and want to help get him back on his feet by showing how much we truly care about him. We are asking that our community and friends join us in helping Antoine and his family.

Just as he has done so much to bring life to our stories and community through his artwork, we want to help him with his path to recovery so that we can have the same special person back in our lives sharing his talents.
