UPDATE: We are leaving this morning at 8:00 AM for Mom's first Chemo treatment. Dad, Mom and I want to send a "SPECIAL THANKS" to Susan Meredith for making it possible for her to continue to fight for a 100% recovery. She is not only an amazing lady, but a very dear friend. UPDATE: I would like to thank Harriett Whited for the PayPal suggestion. It turns out Mom had PayPal years ago and all we had to do was reactivate it and update her information. I am no longer sharing Mom's campaign on Facebook, although it is still open until the last $2,500 she needs has been funded, either through it or outside it, then it will close. I see no reason to continue to ask the same people over and over to help her. I paid $40 for it to be shared on twitter with over 3 million people, 5 times a day for 30 days and it brought in $100 before the 2nd surgery and the 30 days is up in 6 days. She has not started her treatments and can't or won't until she has the funds. Thanks to those that donated and shared, it was appreciated, God Bless you all.
URGENT IMPORTANT UPDATE, A LITTLE LONG BUT VERY INFORMATIVE ABOUT GO FUND ME!! Since Mom wasn't able to raise the last $2,500 and it appears it's not going to happen, Mom's Chemo treatments have been cancelled. She has not paid for the 6 Radiation treatments either. A very dear friend of Mom's, Susan Meredith donated the $2,500, because she watches the campaign and when sees that no one is donating any amount, she makes sure the amount needed on a certain date is there! WELL SINCE SHE SAW WHAT WAS HAPPENING SHE DONATED THE $2, 000 TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR THE MOM TO HAVE THE 2ND SURGERY SHE NEEDED. then she watched for donations for the last $2,500 for the treatments and when she saw nothing again, she donated the 2,500. THEN GO FUND ME CANCELLED THE DONATION AND NOW THEY ARE REFUNDING HER MONEY. WHEN I INQUIRED AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON, THEIR FIRST ANSWER WAS THAT SHE CAN ONLY DONATE 6 TIMES. SINCE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HER 6TH DONATION, I ASKED WHY THEY WOULD DO THIS, SINCE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HER 6TH DONATION. THE ANSWER I GOT WAS THAT THERE REALLY IS NO LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF TIMES, BUT BECAUSE SHE MADE SEVERAL HUGE DONATIONS INSTEAD OF MAKING ONE LARGE DONATION, SHE NOW HAS TO MAKE OFFLINE DONATIONS. Susan lives in the UK makes her donations by Credit Card Debits, so the money gets here immediately instead of the up to 20/25 days it would take to send it and then clear the bank. The Dr said without the treatments, Mom could have from a month to a year depending on how fast and far it spreads. BELIEVE ME DAD AND I WILL HAVE GO FUND ME ON OUR MINDS EVERYDAY AND THEY WILL BE THE FIRST ONES WE NOTIFY WHEN SHE IS GONE, SINCE THEY ARE THE ONES THAT ACTUALLY SIGNED HER DEATH WARRANT, BECAUSE SHE AND 9 OTHER PEOPLE WANTED WERE THE ONLY ONES THAT TRIED TO HELP HER. I came home from work and found Mom eating chicken and dumplings. Dad made them for her. She had scrambled eggs, melon and toast for breakfast and some chicken salad I made for her last night on a large crosiant for lunch. She is weak, but feeling better today. Dad said she even walked from the bedroom to the living room with his and her RN Natalie's help today. I got her into bed a few minutes ago and wanted to post this right away. She told me she wanted the same breakfast in the morning before she goes to get the last radiation treatment tomorrow (so her stomach won't be empty) before her chemo starts on Monday. Our hearts are full that she is feeling better and getting ready to fight the last fight to her 100% recovery. Please donate what you can to help her raise the last of the $2,500 she needs to pay her part for her 12 chemo treatments and the 6 radiation treatments she has already received. Mom out of surgery after 5 hours. They just took her to recovery and will move her to ICU for 24 hours when she wakes up. Dr. said she came through with flying colors and while they think they got it all, there are always lingering cells, so the took quite a few biopsies. They will have the results tomorrow afternoon. If everything goes alright, she will come home Monday and will have the last two radiation treatments that week, to get ready for Chemo to start on Monday June 5th. Please, please donate what you can to make sure she has the last $2,500 she needs by June 2nd. That is her only hope of killing all the Cancer cells and having a 100% recovery and a clean bill of health!!
Mom is in the hospital and will have the 2nd and last surgery at 2:00 PM this fternoon. This is a major surgery and the most serious one, but the Dr. doesn't expect any complications or problems. They are still giving her 2,200 mg of antibiotics for the H. Pylori which has improved. The Dr. talked to us about the importance of making sure we had the funds needed to pay her part for the 12 Chemo and 6 Radiation treatments. They are the most important key to her 100% recovery and must begin no later than 10 days after the surgery, otherwise any lingering cells would begin to spread, instead of being killed off.
The $6,515 amount includes my insurance co-payment, 5% of what insurance won't pay (Foundation connected to hospital paying the other 15%) and the port they will need to put in. I have raised $4,265, which has paid for both surgeies. I have to raise the blance of $2,500 for the Chemo and Radiation treatments that will makse sure I am Cancer free.

I cared for those I loved (my parents, brother and daughter 24/7) for the last 12 years, until they went to their heavenly homes. I definitely wasn't expecting this diagnosis when the pain started and continued to get worse by the day. I also care for my husband now who is deaf and has skin cancer, so I have to beat this and I WILL, as Dr. Tran assured me of, if I get the surgeries and treatments on time. I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT ANY AND ALL HELP YOU GIVE ME BY DONATION, REGARDLESS OF HOW SMALL WILL BE DEEPLY AND SINCERELY APPRECIATED FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
