Raising money for Breast Cancer Research/Awareness

Tax deductible
Hi guys, I'm Josh and I'm setting out to raise money for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness. My wonderful Nan was diagnosed with Leukemia in September 2018 and developed Breast Cancer in December, and my just as wonderful Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November. My Mum has recently started undergoing Chemotherapy and is doing amazingly well, and my Nan is taking medication and having blood transfusions every few weeks. It's been a really tough time for myself and my family, but we are all trying to keep a positive energy and make the best of an awful situation. I know so many others are in a similar position, and I've felt from the day I found out that I wanted to help and raise money. I decided that the way I would do this is to shave my hair off (and my beard!) to show my support for my Mum, and everyone else losing their hair from treatment. I decided to do it before fundraising to represent my Mum, who took charge and bravely decided to shave her hair off before she lost it. I am extremely proud of both my Mum and Nan, and in awe of how strong they are. My goal is now to raise money to try and help research progress and raise awareness of Cancer, and hope that this inspires people to do the same. We have decided on a target of £1000, and hoping that we will be able to raise the target if  our fundraiser receives a good response from people! We would all be incredibly grateful if you would donate money, and help us fundraise for the charity Breast Cancer Now. This affects too many people all over the world and we all need to do what we can to try and stop this horrible disease. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please donate what you can, it would mean so much. Thank you xx Once we have hit £250 I will upload the video of me having my hair shaved off!

More information about Breast Cancer Now: We’re Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity – and we’re dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. This year, around 55,000 women and 350 men will hear the words ‘it’s breast cancer’. And this month, nearly 1,000 people will have their lives cut short by the disease. That’s someone every 45 minutes. We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live – and live well. It’s time to act.
