Raising money for a book scanner

I've been translating Nekojiru's JiruJiru Diary for quite a while now and it's finally coming to an end. I'm hoping to increase my output and translate the rest of her work as well as other underground Japanese comic artists, such as Yamada Hanako, but I need a proper book scanner to do that. The high price would be to buy a scanner specifically made for books so I wouldn't have to destroy the books in the process of scanning them. I'm a graduate student who works part time, so I don't have all that much extra money, so if you can donate it would really help me reach my goal and continue my translation work.
