My Vision:
Every child should laugh, dance, play and live as only a child can. Every child and their family deserves to be well, maintain hope and continue to dream. I believe in creating a better life for kids living with cancer.
About WOWs Kids:
WOWS Kids Fiji is a registered charitable trust based in Suva. WKF works in close collaboration with the Fiji Cancer Society and in association with the Ministry of Health and other partners to administer support to children journeying with cancer. WKF was founded in Tonga under Tae Kami Foundation, the homeland of 15year old Tae Kami who passed away in 2008 after a 4 year battle with cancer. Tae’s dream was for the creation of a relief fund to support young cancer victims and documented a list of priorities.
WOWS is drawn from WALK ON, WALK STRONG…. the song written and recorded by Tae as her testimony and to give hope to those facing difficulties including cancer.
WKF supports and assists children with cancer and their parents.
WOWS KIDS FIJI PROVIDES:
- Local and inter-island transport for patients and families
- Medicine
- Specialised laboratory tests
- Specialised equipment
- Essentials like shopping
- Phone cards
- Supporting Paediatric Oncology Wards
- Repairs of facilities and urgent requests
- Assistance towards overseas treatments
- Facilitation of the Parent Support Group
- Creates awareness about childhood cancer and the importance of early detection
