Raising funds for Rap Therapy

Donation protected
Rap Therapy is a social enterprise that uses rap as a tool to teach and train young people to positively express. We provide a series of innovative workshops. Although it is early days for the venture, we have received tremendous support and currently have workshops in several schools in London.

Bhishma Asare, rap name ‘Proph’ (Instagram: @proph_100) who has a foundation of creating music that promotes a positive social change founded Rap Therapy in early 2017. His motivation was to give young people a creative outlet that improves communication and guides them on a positive path. At the forefront of Rap Therapy’s mission is our social responsibility, which is to create a community that prevents potential tragedies, through creativity, which acts as a therapeutic tool and creative platform. This is especially necessary for our youth, who are at risk of adverse cultures such as the gun and knife epidemic, which has been rapidly increasing in London.

At the end of this academic year we would have engaged with over 130 students through our school workshops. However we do not want it to end there, we would like to continue to support our young people beyond the classrooms. To do so one initiative we will be running is a bi-annual competition for students that have completed a Rap Therapy workshop. The competition will allow students to continue to practice what they have learnt at the workshop and positively express through rap. Each student will have the opportunity to enter with the approval of the responsible school and parents. There will be competitions prizes to be won.

We would like you to be a part of the Rap Therapy journey. We are crowd funding £2,500 in order to cover some early costs and facilitate the competition and provide meaningful prizes to the winners and runner-ups. All support financially as well as advice and introductions are welcomed and appreciated. To show our gratitude we would like to offer sponsors the following:

Donations above £50, we would like to thank you with a free Rap Therapy T-shirt

Donations above £150, we would like to invite you to an in-school workshop to observe Rap Therapy in action.

We will keep you updated about the competition and Rap Therapy via our newly made social media page (Instagram: @Rap_Therapy_100). Thank you in advance for all your support and being part of the Rap Therapy Team. For any additional questions or to connect please contact us on [email redacted].uk
