Richard Catura, a fun-loving person. Smart, funny, responsible, and so full of life.
On January 20th, we received news that Rich was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). We never would have imagined that what we originally thought was the flu, was actually cancer. He stayed strong throughout his hospital stay of 6 weeks, but unfortunately, things took a toll and his body couldn't fight off an infection. But one thing's for sure, he fought an amazing fight!
It's heartbreaking to know that he's not around, but puts things at ease knowing he's not in anymore pain. At 28 years young, he leaves behind supportive parents (Romeo and Adelaida), loving siblings (Rommel, Ryan, and Rachel), and a 1 yr old nephew (Arian).
As we all know, a death in the family may leave some heavy burdens. At this time, I'd like to ask for your prayers and support. Anything helps. We are ultimately hoping that these funds will be able to pay for Rich's headstone, but of course, extra will be given the family to aid with other financial responsibilities. We want to be able to give Rich a plaque that best illustrates his mark on this world and in our hearts.
