Raise for Remington

Anyone who knows anything about me knows that my dogs mean the world to me, especially one in particular, my oldest, my black Labrador retriever Remington. I got him when I was in college when he was only a few weeks old and he's been with me ever since. Hes my pride and joy, he's been with me through it all and he was my spark that ignited my fire and my passion for dogs and for training. He's my best and most well trained and has a resume of commands and tricks all his own, he's always been the best companion on hikes And will swim all day long if given the chance. With this being said Remington has always been a fairly healthy dog but last September only a few days shy of his 9th birthday, he gifted us with an unexpected weekend trip to PETS( pet emergency treatment services) we found he had pancreatitis, fortunately it was treated and he was sent home, but not before an almost $1500 bill. He's been fine ever since, or so we thought. majestic Remington is starting to look his age, and there for arthritis is a problem but after some more concerning issues we are back to overnight stays at the vet. Some people may ask why spend so much time effort and money on a dog. But to me he's not just a dog he means so much more to me than that and I'm not ready to let him go yet and will only take that path if necessary. So that leaves family and I with the task of coming up with the money to keep him happy and healthy, a choice I will inevitably make no matter what. His visit in the fall effected us, sure, but unfortunately this is the worst timing. I am currently on maternity leave from work,with our daughter, and therefor have no income, we are relying solely on the income of my husband for our bills and daily expenses. I am typically not an individual who asked for handouts, but until I return back to work we are struggling financially. Not only do we ask for positive thoughts and prayers for our sweet Rem but we appreciate any donations that can be given at this time.
