Hey everyone…I hate this part about cancer…but I’m going to need to ask for some help in order to keep things going and to make ends meet. The money will be used for rent, groceries, medical bills not covered by insurance, therapies like massage, chiro and acupuncture. Pet care.
I'm doing this crowdfunding thing to cover the 3 month gap where I have no work income before Long Term Disability kicks in.
The backstory
There's a 6 month "elimination period" where you can't have worked before Long Term Disability payments start. My workplace covered only 3 months of the 6 months. Now I'm on an unpaid leave until Long Term Disability might come through in December.
Why I can't work I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer of the Bone. There is no cure for this. I'll need to be in treatment for the rest of my life.
