Rae Reed's Surgery Recovery Fund
Hello, my name is Rae. I am a 19 year old cook at a retirement home. I work full time and I love my job. How ever, I need double hip surgery. The issue is I have hip dysplaysia. In specific, the femural heads are too big and have caused laberal tears in the cartilige surrounding the sockets. I haven't been at my job long enough to qualify for short term disability and I could permanently damage my hips if this surgery doesn't happen soon.
In few words, I simply cant afford it. To even scratch the surface of the bill heading my way I would have to work during recovery. As you can imagine, working during recovery isn't feasible and my parents can't help since they are in retirement( I was a late-in-life baby).
After my sugery I am going to resume my career as a cook and go to culinary school. If I don't have these surgeries, that dream will go down the drain. Standing eight hours a day will not be possible.
This is where I need help to keep the lights on. I need $1000 a month, and my recovery will span 6 months. I would appreciate any donation as it could help me buy food for a little while.
