Rachel Sampson and Family

Donation protected
Hello everyone. I started this GoFundMe page for my niece and family. Rachel passed away November 27, 2019. She was 27 years old. She was born with spina bifida and doctors prepared us for a rough road ahead for her. She was paralyzed from the waist down. She had 13 brain shunt surgeries, hip surgery, surgeries on her foot, had braces and walkers, diabetes, seizures and was confined to a wheelchair. Last year she was so excited to finally get a wheelchair where she could stand upright and get around a whole lot better. She has had several infections in her body and went through more medical procedures and hospital stays than anyone else I've ever known. She never said "why me?" She took everything in stride and always had a positive attitude towards it all. Despite what the doctor's told us the day she was born on July 26th, 1992, Rachel proved them wrong. There wasn't hardly anything she couldn't do. She lived life to the fullest and despite some obstacles she kept on fighting. She always had a smile on her face and always cared so much for everyone. She was always so happy despite her challenges and made everyone happy around her. She loved to bake, cook, country music, animals, babies, church, social gatherings, volunteering and her friends and family so much. Rachel simply loved life. She absolutely adored her younger brother Anthony who is 16. I know without a doubt that God put her on earth to teach us all that no matter what challenges we are going through, keep praying and keep faith. To know her was truly a blessing. She gave the very best hugs and always told everyone how much she loved them. The last time I talked to Rachel, she told me, "I love you mommy". She was always more of a daughter to me than a niece. I'm asking for donations to help with funeral arrangements, paying off medical bills, monthly utility bills,  mortgage payments etc. My sister Patricia ,her husband Duane and their son Anthony must try to go on now but as you can imagine, this is an extremely difficult time for them. I know I will never be the same but Rachel taught me several valuable lessons...to love unconditionally, live each day like it's your last, always be thankful for what you have, when you think you've got it bad...always remember there is someone who has it worse and you should try to help them if you can. If you can't, at least say a kind word, keep them in your prayers and give them a hug. That's what Rachel always did. Thank you for reading this and if you can't afford to donate, please just say a prayer for healing for the family.  God bless-
