Helping a freind down and out

First let me thank everyone that is taking the time to read this. I have a old friend that is down and out and is in some need of some real help. He messaged me a few days ago asking for a very small amount of money, which I was able to help him with. We have been talking the last few days and it’s worst then what I ever wanted to hear. The long story short is a split up with a wife went very bad (not many people know about this yet), Christmas was a bust, and now he is sleeping in his car two hours away from home so that he doesn’t have to drive all that to his new job that he just got a few days ago. I don’t know all the details and some of it isn’t my place to share. His next check isn’t for a couple weeks and he is very short on what little funds he still has. 

Sleeping is a car I know nothing about, being down and broke can’t be easy and having to worry about the little things in life or how you can take care of those can not be any fun. I’ve been down and out in the past and it was some of my very best friends that held my hand and got me back on top of things.

As as many of you know I can can come off as a hard ass but knowing what this person is feeling and the stress that comes with this problem it hits home.
