Noah Williams IV, known affectionately to us all as Quatro, was a student himself at Highland Hall Waldorf School, a school founded by his parents, Mr. Williams has taught generations of students the significance of who we are as human beings over the course of time and who we are within ourselves.
As parents of alumni, we know that our children loved Quatro and worked hard to earn his respect. As alumni, we recall favorite courses with him, such as the Native American block that concluded in the life-changing trip to the cliff dwellings in Colorado. Those of us who are current parents and students, know the dedication he brings to each and every lesson. We all understand that Mr. Williams is the kind of man who thoroughly deserves our respect, and we know that we have been privileged to be one of his students.
Mr. Williams has spent his life teaching here at Highland Hall, and we all know, teaching is not a profession that makes a person rich-or even comfortable. Henry Brooks Adams said, "A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops." We invite you to take this opportunity to let Quatro know that we recognize and appreciate the influence he has had on us.
The school has shown its appreciation in many ways, including naming the center driveway after him, and these honors are important, but they do not fund his eventual retirement, whenever that may be.
