Charlie's Challenge Against ALS

Charlie Smith is one of 8 children born to Ray and Nancy Smith from Lakewood, Ohio.  He was married 5 years ago for the first time at the age of 53.  He  was a hardworking semi-truck driver who was first diagnosed with drop foot in 2011  which he had surgery for.   When he did not get better from the drop foot surgery, he was then diangosed with ALS ("Lou Gherig's Disease) in 2013.    Charlie was given the diagnosis by the Cleveland Clinic that he had ALS and was basically told to go home and die.   His mobility at this point is limited to a mobile scooter.   Charlie's family started "Charlie's Challenge" and is hoping raise funds to assist with the medical devices.  We are now looking for assistance to help  with a handicap accessible van,  home health assistance alth care and related upcoming unforseen needs we are encouring on a regular basis.
