Belize Medical Mission Trip

While celebrating 21 years of providing free healthcare services to the Fort Lauderdale community at our annual health fair, we received a message on social media that gipped our hearts. A resident  of a remote village in Belize reached out in desperation for medical services for this his underserved population. Teakettle is a village in Belize's Cayo District. In this district, approximately 33.5% live below the poverty line with 16% of the population classified as indigent, meaning they lack sufficient financial resources to afford a basic food basket. Children living in the Cayo District suffer the highest rates of deprivation at 80%.  Lots of the people in the village are going blind because they are unable to receive eye care. Also, they have no dental care, which causes many people to have teeth pulled.

As the Health Ministry team of Fort Lauderdale SDA church, we have responded in FAITH to serve our brothers and sisters in Belize, and we are taking our medical and non-medical team with us! You are invited to join with us in blessing the people of Teakettle. If you can't join us physically, please participate with your financial donations. These funds will be used to purchase medications, medical supplies, school supplies, transportation of medical supplies, and supplies for a local orphanage!
