"I am Route 66" Travel Fund

I am Route 66 is one of the most unique tributes to the USA’s “Mother Road” ever. While there are hundreds of resources about the sights and stops along this iconic highway, this project focuses on the people of Rt. 66: those who live along it, those who run its attractions and those living the history of it. Our team is dedicated to helping preserve the legacy of this American icon and its pioneers.

This project is also much more.

It’s the first stage of evolution in something much bigger: The “I am” project. Since its beginning in a quiet little coffee shop in Amarillo, Texas, the number of participants has grown to over 700 and continues to climb. We'll be saving something really special!

Route 66 has its attractions, but very few people know about the rare gems that are the people who help make it special. Those people's stories are the real legacy of the highway and they deserve to be preserved. Many of these true icons of the road have passed and part of our team's goal is to record the surviving tales. Here's a clip from one of our first:

We've built the perfect team. (Check us out here.) 

Our marketing is in place. We've shown the locals what we do and the response has been incredible. We've put the rubber on the road and brought in the  first few sets of portraits from nearby locations and the love has grown exponentially. We are receiving requests to schedule at locations all along the Route.

We're already working on the project.

Although the project is off to a great start on a local level, the team  has already started taking it on the road and so far, the costs have been coming out of the team member's pockets. Your assistance at this stage of the project will help us keep up the momentum while we complete the processes for long-term funding. It will, of course, also earn you our undying gratitude, not to mention some great stuff. 

We're asking for your help to keep our vehicles and crew operating and the dream alive. We're talking about the basics: food, fuel, lodging and vehicle maintenance, plus some minor equipment upgrades and operating expenses. Our team members are small business owners with families to care for, so our pockets aren't deep.

Each 24" x 36" print is numbered and hand signed by Jim. There will be only 500 of each printed.
