Hey everybody, how you doing? Check this out, we’re starting on an incredible and fun journey and we want you to be a part of it. We are going to produce a short (about 5 to 7 minutes) martial arts, fantasy film. This project will be in the same tradition of those films we loved such as, ZU: WARRIORS FROM MAGIC MOUNTAIN, the BABYCART FROM HELL film series (In the US it was released as LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH), STORM RIDERS, LEGEND OF 8 SAMURAI, 5 DEADLY VENOMS and bunch more.
"The mysterious “Man in the White Suit” has breached the compound, easily making his way through the guards. Wukong and the students are forced to run; though the older teenage students are determined to stand and fight the deadly warrior to protect their teacher and way of life. Unfortunately, they also discover everything is not what it appears to be."
This short we’re doing is a scene from the original feature film screenplay called QUEST of the DRAGON. The scene we’re doing is one of the more exciting, dynamic scenes from that project. Our long range plan is to take this short film and utilize it to get full financing to produce that full length feature film.
We’ve started to gather together an amazing team of local talent including the Director of Photography, “costume armor”, Director and Fight Choreographer (yours truly) and make-up.
MASTER WON HEE LEE, is the lead performer, “The Man in the White Suit”. He is one of the most dynamic, exciting proponents in traditional martial arts today. We still need to cast for the other principle roles. (We will post casting notices very soon).
We are looking to raise $3,000 (Three Thousand Dollars) to produce this film. This money will serve to cover the necessary expenses (props, transportation, material for costumes, make-up, prosthetics, etc....).
We want to start pre -production and casting around September 5th "Labor Day) . We want to raise the necessary funds by September 17th We need your help to make this all happen.
We have a “Sponsor’s Package with gifts attached to each one.
No donation is too big or too small.
In the upcoming weeks we will keep you up to date with new videos, photos, artwork and notices about casting, production schedules and so on.
