Kelly Pothier Support Fund

Kelly is my sister.  She is also a daughter and single parent to my niece Hannah.   Kelly is 48 years old and is currently undergoing the battle of her life against stage IV ovarian cancer.   She is no longer able to work and is trying to survive on a VERY small disability stipend.  Her biggest worry is not about herself, but rather her daughter's future.

How do we measure what a life means,
Its' blessings and its' pains,
The triumphs and the failures,
The losses and the gains.

It's the people that come in and out,
And touch us day to day,
It's family, friends and loved ones,
Who lead us on our way.

So many of us have been thus blessed,
To have Kelly in our hearts,
So now we must join to show our support, 
As this chapter in her life starts.

Too many beautiful memories to mention,
With friends both far and wide,
Let's show her how blessed we are to have her,
And let her know we are on her side.

From her family who would make any sacrifice,
To show her how much we care,
Our faith and love continue to stay strong,
And her battle we will share.

To the friends she's made along the way,
Too many to mention by name,
Cherish the times and memories,
Whenever you mention her name.

And those who have gone before us,
Watching silently day and night,
Keep Kelly safe in your loving arms,
As she continues with her fight.

And most of all for Hannah,
The angel by Kelly's side,
Let's make a pledge to see her through,
With any support we can provide.

Kelly's fight continues every day,
But her beautiful smile still remains,
So let's keep in mind all the memories,
Even when her own strength wanes.

Please take a moment from your day,
And smile as you should,
When thinking of how Kelly touches your life,
As only Kelly could.

We appreciate each act of kindness,
No matter how large or small,
For Kelly and for Hannah,
As they continue to stand tall.

Please send your love and all your prayers,
to the family as they start,
The toughest journey they have ever faced,
