Summer's campaign for Prospect Hospice

If you've been touched by Cancer, or lost a family/friend to the big C then you may know about the amazing Prospect Hospice.
Summer- When my best friend (my Gramps) passed away in 2014 , it felt like a truck hitting my heart.
He suffered with prostate cancer for a number of years but the last few months were when he unfortunately went rapidly downhill.
It was a sad, stressful and emotional time for all our family, but My Gramps still kept his humour and smile on his face.
I spent a lot of time at the Prospect Hospice, sitting next to my Gramps, bringing him sweets, telling him about my day, while he made me laugh with his jokes and told me stories.
The Hospice always made me and my family feel welcome. The nurses were so kind and personable, they really bent over backwards to help the patients and visitors.
Megan - I volunteered at the Prospect helping serve meals for 6 months and I appreciate the hard work which goes into running this lovely Hospice.
So to say a little thank you, and help other patients and families we are raising money in aid of Prospect Hospice!
We are walking for 4 hours, a difficult 9 miles and reaching hills as high as 900 feet in the Liddington Hill area.

More information about Prospect Hospice: Prospect Hospice provides the only dedicated specialist end of life care in Swindon, Marlborough, north Wiltshire, Lechlade and Fairford. Last year Prospect Hospice supported more than 7,300 people; as patients, carer's and family members, through a range of services developed to bring care, comfort and confidence at life's most difficult time. Last year it cost 8.4 million pounds to raise funds and deliver our range of services. With less than 30 percent funding, your support really is vital to us.
