Help for Sage

On Thursday, December 14th, I took Sage my beautiful, sweet, and loving 3 month old kitten to the vet for a shaking in the lower half of her body that had developed over the past week. A simple drop off for a checkup, turned her life and my world upside down. They thought she may have damage to her spine; but, while it wasn't spinal damage it is so much more. The doctor walked us through her x-rays, showing she has an enlarged heart and liver, clouding in her lungs, and small bone growths on her ribs. Immediately, papers and a copy of her x-ray were handed over along with instructions to go to an emergency clinic. There the doctor said she is worried for Sage because this doesn't look good and to prepare myself for the worst. I told her I will do anything for this little one who has helped me after losing my dad earlier this year.

Never did I think I would be put in the situation of having to ask for financial help, but she needs help. Whether it be $.50 or $5 or even sharing this post any help would help to ease the stress of Christmas time when my hours at work are cut down to practically nothing.

I was able to hold her today for 20 minutes with a little bandage around her leg and cone around her head. Even though she was exhausted her little purrs rumbled through her blanket and she fell asleep in my arms. There is nothing I care more for than her. Even if I can only have her for months, to a year, or many years to come, I will be thankful. I will especially be thankful for those who took the time to think of her during this time.
