'The Noo" Fund

Donation protected
Noah is lovingly referred to as 'The Noo' He is the most gorgeous, happy little man, with a smile that can light up any room and melt any heart. Just like any other 4 year old he knows what he likes and what he doesn't. He can be very canny too, he will give you kisses in exchange for 'raspberry blowing' on his hand.
He has a great sense of humour to the point he even laughs out load in his sleep! At times his humour can be a little warped, in so much as if he hears another child cry or scream this could set off a fit of the giggles!

Noah loves life, that's for sure, and the only time you will hear him cry is when he's in pain and if his meals are late!

Noah goes to Claremont school in Henleaze and enjoys school life with his friends.

Noah was born full term with Hydrocephalus due to a bleed on his brain. He had his first operation at 6 days old to insert a vp shunt. In his first year Noah had 3 revisions to the shunt, as they are prone to getting blocked. He also has global developmental delay, Epilepsy and Hemiplegia - a form of cerebral palsy. He is also severely visually impaired.

Noah has been hospitalised many times in his short life and not just in his hometown, holidays have be swopped for hospitals in Ireland and Cornwall.

For the last 4 weeks Noah and his mummy Leanne have spent time at Bristol Childrens Hospital, where Noah had four operations on his brain due to a shunt blockage, followed by an infection in his CSF (cerebral spinal fluid). One of these operations was an emergency to insert an external drain as he had no working shunt or drain, which would be fatal for him. This was a scary time.

Leanne is a mummy in a million, she is a lone parent to Noah and there is nothing she wouldn't do for him. She has faced so much in the past 4 years and throughout she has faced it head on with courage and determination. She strives to give Noah the very best she can, but the overwhelming factor is the love and care she gives him, there is absolutely nothing she wouldn't do for Noah, Noah is her life.
Hospital appointments, trips to A&E and procedures have been many, and Leanne remembers them all. One astounded doctor at A&E was heard to say to a nurse "That mother is amazing, she's been able to give me a full history with dates all from memory!"

Leanne is very independent and asks for very little for herself or Noah, as long as Noah is happy, she is happy. hence the reason why I have set up this page.

With your help the aim is to raise enough money to purchase a Rhino Sensory Trolley  and a garden swing  for Noah. In the pipeline we have a 5 or 10k fun run (or walk!) nights of entertainment, cake sales,  and much more. If anyone has any other suggestions to raise funds I would be pleased to hear from you.

Thank you.
