Jeremy Whitmire's Medical Fund
Donation protected
After a frightening and frustrating 4-month process of monthly biopsies from July to October 2014, Jeremy was finally diagnosed with a type of cancer called Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkin's lymphoma with bulky disease. Since then, everything else seems unimportant, and we have concentrated on covering the medical expenses needed to assure Jeremy's cancer therapy is uninterrupted. It has been an uphill battle while he undergoes treatment, suffering the side effects, and realizing the mountain of dept that faces us for the foreseeable future.
We have exhausted all savings we had, and since Jeremy has been unable to work since July 2014 we have had no income except for a small profit from my summer art studio and a few engraving jobs which has covered the bare necessities. That small amount is now almost exhausted and until Jeremy completes cancer treatment in July and is well enough to return to work, we have no reliable source of income. We need to focus on Jeremy's health, not the stressful phone calls coming almost daily from creditors asking for payment of medical bills while treatment is still continuing, plus trying to cover day-to-day living expenses.
In short, we need help. A few friends have said “just let us know if there is anything we can do,” and until now we have clung desperately to some miracle that would avoid us having to respond to their kindness. But now, we find ourselves in a position of humbly having to ask others for help to see us through this. Jeremy is the kind of man who is always willing to open his heart and home to others in need. As Christians, we trust our Lord is our Provider. But we also know He uses the generosity of others to help in tough times.
This was a very difficult decision for us to make putting this out there but this is Jeremy's "Spaghetti Dinner." You may not get a plate of spaghetti for your help but you will get a huge helping of Thank You's. Any amount you may be able to offer, no matter how small, will be another step in seeing us through this time of need. And from the bottom of our heart, we appreciate it and extend God’s blessings to each of you
