Susan’s fight for life ❤️ Let’s do this Ireland

⁃ On the 26th of April I was diagnosed with grade 3 advanced Breast Cancer my tumor was 6cm and had also spread to my Lymp Nodes .My oncologist made a plan to start chemo therapy the following week because the type of cancer I had would spread rapidly in the meantime I had to go for a scan which then showed I had several raised Nodes around my body they then did biopsy’s in those which needed surgery as they were so deep and quite large so that changed the chemo plan it had to be delayed a little because of my recovery On the 23rd of May I was given the results of the biopsy’s I was told I had a second cancer also in my body I had Low grade Lymphoma I then had to have bone marrow taken to stage the cancer when the results came back on the 31st May I was told it was stage 4 cancer it had spread to my bone marrow . My Oncologist advised me even though it’s stage 4 it’s a low grade cancer it can be Parked for a while until they treat the breast cancer that’s the one they are really worried about .

⁃ I spoke to my Oncologist on the 07th of June he advised me about a drug that’s specifically for my type of breast Cancer which is advanced grade 3 Her2 positive the drug works very well with such an aggressive cancer but it can only be given in private hospitals he said he would look in to it see what he could do and come back to me . I got a call yesterday to say it’s not possible for me to be given this treatment without private insurance I only have basic insurance for public hospitals and it’s not covered it’s too expensive I was also advised the current chemo plan I am on is not working I have had 5 sessions of chemo and the tumor is not shrinking and basically I need this drug to help me because my cancer is so aggressive and can spread very rapidly the cost of it for just 6 sessions is approximately 23,000 which has to be given before I have surgery to remove my breast as it works better before the tumor is removed .

⁃ I have a 3 year old autistic little boy who needs all our help at home and needs his mother to be in his life to watch him grow and fight ASD as hard as his mummy will try best this cancer .
