Jason vs Sheldon - Half Marathon

Donation protected
Sheldon has been trying to get healthier by eating better and working out more. He was on the fence whether he should run the half marathon on Thanksgiving Day, here in Atlanta. In comes Jason, our team’s resident army veteran who runs nearly every day. To motivate Sheldon to get into the race, he offered him a friendly wager, with a 32-minute head start…that means an extra 2 minutes and 26 seconds each mile! Sheldon couldn’t pass this up and now the race is on.

Pride on the trading floor is enough motivation, but we decided to add a little more fuel to the fire. Both runners will be running for their charity of choice, and the winner (with Sheldon’s 32-minute head start) will have proceeds from this GoFundMe campaign go to their charity. Please consider contributing to this GoFundMe campaign and join in on the fun.

Sheldon is running for the American Heart Association ( https://www.heart.org/)
Jason is running for the Junior Achievement of Georgia ( http://www.georgia.ja.org/)

P.S. – for a good laugh, ask Jason how he got to the 32-minute head start

P.P.S. – as Jason highlighted in his last update, Invesco will now provide some level of match for employee contributions! We are really excited about that, and the runners have decided to split the money between the charities – the winner’s charity will get 70% of the total with the remaining 30% going to the loser. I, Peter Wietrak, will be managing the withdrawal process to the two charities. Please reach out with any questions and thank you to everyone who has contributed!
