Tyler's Medical Fund

I am a throat cancer survivor and have hypertrophic cardiomyopaby along with PKD (Polycystic Kidney disease).  Over the last 20 years, my heart has always taken a priority, but recently, I was told that my kidneys were getting worse.  In the last few months, my GFR (gross filtration rate) has gone from 40 down to 18.  When it gets to 15, I need to be on dialysus and eventually need a kidney (and possibly heart) transplant.   Over the last few months, my symptoms have been getting worse. Severe fatigue, chest pain, lower back pain and depression.  I have been unable to work for months,  which puts a huge financial burden on my wife.  We have insurance, which pays for some of our medical costs, but the copays, prescriptions, travel and accomodations to Stanford are not covered.  Normally I would not ask for help, but we have had to declare bankruptcy in the past and actually lost our house in Pennsylvania due to my heart failure and overwhelming medical bills. We are trying to avoid doing that again.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  We have been told that the medications alone for the transplant will be thousands of dollars that will need to come out of our pockets, which we just do not have.  Plus all my major procedures will be done out of Stanford so we will need travel and hotel accomodations.  This is very humbliing to have to ask for help.  The emotional support and prayers have been a huge life saver for us as well.
