Felde Family

On July 24th, 2019 the Felde Family’s world was turned upside down. Chad and Jorge Felde were involved in a serious motorcycle accident. A car struck them while riding their motorcycle, causing both family members to be transferred by Flight for Life to two different trauma hospitals.
Chad was in a very critical condition. He needed multiple blood transfusions and sadly had to have one of his legs amputated. Chad also has a fractured collar bone, which will keep him in a wheel chair for the foreseeable future. To this date, he has had four surgeries and will need several more. We are thankful for all of the medical teams that have worked so hard to save his life, especially the paramedics, police officers, firefighters and Flight for Life that were so quick to take action at the scene. Without their quick actions, Chad would not be here today.
Jorge was flown via Flight for Life to a different hospital. As a result of the accident, Jorge’s leg was broken and fractured in multiple locations. He required surgery and several pins in his leg. He will require another surgery to remove the pins in the future. Jorge is also bound to a wheelchair for the foreseeable future.
The family has a long road to recovery and are in need of help from our community. Medical bills, countless therapy sessions, many trips to hospitals an hour away and equipment rentals (wheelchairs & walkers). They will also need to make modifications to their home to accommodate the wheelchairs. Eventually, Chad will also need a prosthetic leg so he can be the husband and father he used to be.
We are asking our community to open their hearts and please donate to help offset this huge financial burden that has fallen on the Felde family. They are a strong family, but with the great support of this community, they will get through this difficult time.
